The first Hong Kong AI Forum on Language Technology will be held on October 26th. The Forum is organized by Wisers AI Lab, in association with the Hong Kong Society of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, with the support of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
At the event Hong Kong and international AI leaders will explore the latest research and developments in natural language processing and semantic analysis.
Top-selling Amazon author Professor Tom Griffiths, Director of the Computational Cognitive Science Lab at Princeton University, and Director of the Institute of Cognitive and Brain Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley will make his only presentation in Hong Kong at the event. Other presenters from academia and the private sector include Professor Helen Meng of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Dr. He of Wisers AI Lab will be followed by a panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges of commercialisation and application.
Especially in the context of China’s increasing global importance, these technologies have the potential to transform business, media, medicine, finance, education and many other sectors.
“The explosion in the amount of Chinese language data produced every hour, and the increasing need for businesses, academics and governments to organize it and discover insights is driving a new wave of innovation and applications,” said Dr Chao He, Director of organiser Wisers AI Lab. “The Forum provides an opportunity for the AI community to gather and share research and perspectives on natural language processing and semantic analysis.”
The free-of-charge event will run October 26 from 13:30 – 17:30 at The Park Lane Hotel in Causeway Bay and requires a pre-confirmed registration. For event and registration details, visit: https://bit.ly/2Cgg0sA
